Bego is focused on making the most of her gifts and professional skills to facilitate different types of processes for groups and individuals.  She works to help people & groups grow personally, professionally and spiritually, and whenever possible, to help them find congruence between their Christian values and the other areas of their lives.

Bego has over 14 years of experience in facilitation, training, mentoring and consulting with high-performance teams and leadership via the design and application of participative methods and experiential learning. Currently, she is a Senior Training and Facilitation Partner with Advanced Team Concepts (ATC). She started her work there in 2004 and is involved with curriculum development, training and facilitation for various organizations nationally and internationally.  She facilitates and teaches topics ranging from leadership development, change management and communication, to customer service.

Before moving to the USA, she was a founder and principal of Amauta International, LLC, (1999 – 2004), company dedicated to train and mentor facilitators of organizational and social change. Her previous corporate work was focused on the design, implementation and management of human resources and organizational development processes at Alpina Productos Alimenticios S.A., headquartered in Bogotá, Colombia, where she worked for eleven years (1988 – 1999). Her outreach work included assisting communities in their rebuilding following natural disasters.

In August 2002 she was one of the 25 facilitators from around the world selected to facilitate action planning sessions for the Stakeholder Forum for Our Common Future – Earth Summit Implementation Conference, in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Bego is a BSIE from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Bogotá, Colombia, She graduated in February 1987. She is a Certified Professional Facilitator (CPF) by the International Association of Facilitators. Her facilitation background includes a variety of tools including the Technology of Participation (ToP), Open Space Technology, Appreciative Inquiry and other large group interventions.

Bego was born in Bogotá, Colombia, and moved to Texas to marry the love of her life, Larry Meeker, in August 2004. They have traveled the globe, including Asia, Africa, Europe and Latin America, to bring the news and hope of Christ through both business and mission activities.
She and her husband helped started a new mission church, Cornerstone Community Baptist, just after they married, in 2004. She currently serves as a co-leader of the Community Outreach initiative and facilitates the women study groups. Bego enjoys cooking and gardening, and is an avid reader and learner. She is fluent both in Spanish and English.

Bego is a contributing author to the Handbook of Group Facilitation published by Jossey-Bass in March 2005.
