Cheri’s purpose is to prayerfully listen to other believers. She is hopeful that through listening and asking questions she will help Christians discover God’s deep love from them and the work of God in their lives. She believes this will produce growth, transformation and the development of people who, with joy and purpose, serve others. Ultimately, she desires to participate in building up of the church.
Cheri founded True Hearts: Nurturing souls in Grace. She is currently offering and developing Listen to My Life retreats and workshops in a variety of settings. She also meets one on one with people who are seeking to discern God’s work in their lives.
Cheri has carried many labels over the years. In her professional life she was a Certified Public Accountant for ten years. In her volunteer life she has been a VBS Coordinator, a small group facilitator, a Bible study teacher and a Women’s Retreat Coordinator. She and her husband Dave are members at Crossroads Bible Church in Double Oak, TX.
Cheri earned a degree in Accounting from LeTourneau University. She “retired” from being a CPA in 2003 to continue her education. She recently completed a Masters of Arts in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary.
Her husband, Dave, and college age son, Matt, keep life a marvelous adventure. Outdoor adventures with family and friends, coffee or tea with friends, reading and walking bring an abundance of joy to her life.
