Jennifer Mote Biography
Listen to My Life Facilitator
Algonquin, IL

Jennifer Mote’s life mission is to help people wonder about, connect with, wrestle through, and live out their unique, God-breathed design and life story.   She considers it an honor and a sacred trust to listen to another person’s soul speak; to provide a witness to the journey; and to hear the movement of God within a story, one ordinary and extraordinary moment at a time.

Jennifer is a certified Spiritual Director and a graduate of North Park Theological Seminary’s Center for Spiritual Direction.  She earned a BA in Psychology from Indiana University.  As the Human Resource Staffing Manager at Willow Creek Community Church, Jennifer enjoys the process of recruiting, interviewing, selecting and hiring new church staff members.   Jennifer serves as a volunteer faculty member at Willow Creek where she has taught Life Story and spiritual formation classes.  In addition to teaching, Jennifer designs and leads weekend retreats, and has co-lead neighborhood Listen to My Life small groups.  Before becoming a member of Willow Creek in 1994, Jennifer enjoyed volunteering as a small group leader for Bible Study Fellowship and Young Life.

Jennifer and her husband, Chris, have two sweet and spunky children CJ and Hannah.  Their family mission is built around Ephesians 2:10.  To love God and each other deeply, to engage one another in the fullness of their life story, and to reach out to those in need.   Together, they desire to attend to the spiritual and physical needs of HIV/AIDS patients and AIDS orphans through international mission trips.  When time allows, Jennifer loves to read, take pictures, write and go for long walks in nature.
