Rebecca’s mission is to help people move along the path of their spiritual journey. She does this by creatively organizing a framework (small groups, classes, and retreats) for people to be known – so that they can have a deeper understanding of themselves, others and God.Recently, Rebecca and her family moved to Altanta,GA so that her husband, Jay, could serve as Pastor for Mission at Peachtree Presbyterian Church in Atlanta. Prior to the that, Rebecca and Jay served as Community Leaders for several years for Willow Creek Community Church in the Algonquin, IL area by leading churched and un-churched neighbors in the areas of biblical community, caring for others in crisis and in joy, and promoting compassion in their neighborhood, their area and in the world. Rebecca also promoted spiritual growth in her area by leading Women’s Small Groups in her neighborhood and teaching classes in her community. For the past several years, Rebecca’s focus has also been in the development and rollout of the Listen to My Life materials with Sibyl Towner & Sharon Swing to help people engage their life story. She is the author of the Listen to My Life Group Facilitator's Guide, and she currently serves as the Managing Director of oneLifemaps, LLC. Prior to her time in Illinois, Rebecca was active at First Presbyterian Church in Greenville, SC, where she led a Moms In Touch prayer group, and she worked with visitors, new members, and community groups for her large Sunday School class. Rebecca earned a degree in Mathematical Sciences from Clemson University. After graduation, she worked at IBM as a Systems Engineer for 11 years until she invested herself fully in being a mom. She is currently pursuing a certificate in Spiritual Direction at Northpark Theological Seminary. In addition to her passion for her community & spiritual growth, she is most passionate about loving her husband and their two children, Neale & William, and scrapbooking!
