A Christmas Prayer

As you move into this day that celebrates the birth of Christ, take a moment to pause, to listen to God’s word, to acknowledge His presence.

In Revelation 3:20 Jesus said, “I stand at the door and knock." Lord You are calling us gently and softly to be quiet, to slow down, to seek your pace, your rhythm. Help us to daily notice your simple, steady invitation to “come and see”.

Colossians 4:3 states “I pray that God will open doors and windows and minds and eyes and hearts for the word.” Lord help us to be fully open to your story, especially today, the story of hope found at the manger. Encourage us in these coming days to “go and tell” your greater story to all your people with our lives, words, actions and presence.

Mark 6:50 says “Take courage! I am here!” Lord thank you that over and over in scripture you remind us that you truly are Emmanuel – God WITH us on Christmas Day and every day forward!

Father, You open the door, You meet me in the chaos, You invite me into stillness, You provide for me in the waiting, You fill the gaps, You know my heart, You accept me as-is, and You love me still.

Lord help us receive these gifts of Christmas throughout the year! Amen

Blessings to you all from the oneLife Maps Team!
