Are you internally conflicted – with opposing forces tussling within you as you consider good options in your life? These opposing forces exist within almost everyone. You are not alone.
Can you name what is in conflict and write it down? If you can, you have made great progress toward healing and freedom.
There is a difference between fear and danger. Danger is when harm or injury is imminent. Fear is a normal, uncomfortable emotion. It is your choice to allow those factors to derail you or not.
Here are some ‘lingering question’ suggestions for you…
- What if I acted out of an assumption that God has provided all I need to succeed?
- What would it be like to feel afraid and do it anyway?
- What are the real consequences of failure, and are they survivable consequences?
- Might there be any statements of resolve as to what you will choose to do with fear?
Joshua 1:9 New Living Translation (NLT)
“This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
