What does it look like for you to live a meaningful life?
I appreciate how Victor Frankl in his book ‘Man’s Search for Meaning,’ is defined meaning as ‘resonance with one’s core essence.’
Your core essence is rooted in God’s design of you; how he made you to live and move, do and be in the world.
Resonance may be recognized in what your soul is in tune with: What matters most? What kind of beauty brings tender tears to your eyes? What kind of stories stirs your soul? What kind of activities brings you deep satisfaction and joy? What inspires you?
Listening to your life — growing in self-awareness and God-awareness — allows you to recognize and respond to the clues in your story that point you toward living a meaningful life. Your clarity and action in alignment with what is meaningful to you will bring more love, peace, joy, compassion, and ripple effects of good extending out into the world.
Try engaging in 'Listen to My Life' for the first time, or re-engage at this point in your story to help you discern how to live a life that resonates with your core essence.
Scripture:
“Keep my eyes from gazing upon worthless things, and give me true life according to Your plans.”
Psalm 119: 37 (Voice)
