What if gratitude and things that bring life hit your 'list' for the day?
I grew up thinking that all the things that give me life were 'treats' for after I accomplished everything else. The problem is, the 'everything else' never gets accomplished. Receiving God's love in through activities that give you life is essential if you want to give love. You have to breathe in love to breathe out love. Same with joy and peace. These life-giving activities are spiritual practices. If you begin to feel angry, bitter, or imposed upon, it may be because you are giving more than you are receiving. Receiving is to be taken seriously if you are serious about giving.
Question to Ponder:
How might these ideas be connected to ‘loving your neighbor as yourself?’
Scripture:
James 2:8 NIV - "If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture, “Love your neighbor as yourself,” you are doing right."
