When listening to others as they engage 'Listen to My Life,’ sometimes people feel stuck, seemingly unable to move forward as they attempt to discern the ‘right way’ forward.

Sometimes it is helpful to become curious about underlying assumptions that may be in play. As I listen, I may hear clues that prompt a question that may sound something like this:

Might you be assuming that there is only ‘one right way’ to move forward?

Looking for the one right way can be paralyzing.

What if we start with an assumption that there are selections of good options from which to choose — all of which include God being with you, in you, and working through you?

Breathe.
Pause.
Ask for wisdom.
Be open to new perspectives.
Make a choice.
Take a step in trust.
You are not alone. You have never been. You never will be.
Be at peace.

Scripture:

“Yes, be bold and strong! Banish fear and doubt! For remember, the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Joshua 1:9 TLB
